Conversations from a Page is hosting a Literary Salon with Kelsey Cox for her debut release Party of Liars and Judithe Little for her latest release Glorious Ruins. There will be entertaining and lively book conversation in a relaxed, in-home setting. The event is casual, guests are invited to meet these fabulous authors, and everyone can enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee with us. To get Party of Liars and Glorious Ruins signed at our event, the books must be purchased from our independent book store affiliate Blue Willow Bookshop ahead of time or at the event.

About Kelsey Cox

Kelsey Cox received her MFA in fiction from Purdue University and works from home in the Texas Hill Country. You can often find her writing at Mammen Family Public Library, chasing around her two young daughters, or watching British mysteries with her mom and aunts. On nights when bedtime goes as planned, she enjoys curling up on the sofa, glass of wine in hand, and a book with complicated characters and a killer twist in her lap. Party of Liars is her debut novel.

About Glorious Ruins

In 1920s Paris, Misia Sert is a patron and a muse to the most revolutionary artists of the era. She is also profoundly in love with renowned muralist José María “Jojo” Sert, who prizes his wife’s iconoclastic vision and independence. But in Misia’s rarified circle, there is no greater kindred soul than designer Coco Chanel. Two women, two friends, for whom rules do not apply.

Then Misia finds herself challenged by the enigmatic Roussadana Mdivani, a Russian émigré and sculptress who solicits Jojo’s tutelage in service to a rising career of her own. It becomes evident Roussadana wants more from an enamored Jojo than that. Misia recognizes a disrupter when she sees one. Misia, with Coco as her confidante, is ready to fight to maintain her position—in marriage and in Paris—in the most unconventional ways. But the stakes are higher, and the fallout darker, than Misia and Coco can fathom.

About Judithe Little

Judithe Little grew up in Virginia and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia. After a brief time studying in France and interning at the U.S. Department of State, she earned her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law where she was on the Editorial Board of the Journal of International Law and a Dillard Fellow. She lives with her husband and three children in Houston, Texas.
